New Mom Support Group
Meets the 4th Thursday of every month from11am-12pm: 12/22, 1/26, 2/23, 3/23
Come join other new moms and babies in a relaxing environment where you are welcome to share both the joys and the challenges of parenthood. This is an open group and there is no cost, so you are welcome to come whenever you like and however often it feels good to you. We will discuss common concerns such as sleep, self-care, nursing/feeding, childbirth recovery, partner and family relationships, and anything else that arises.
This support group is co-facilitated by Dr. Marni Greenberg, a Clinical Psychologist specializing in the pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, and Rosemary Mason, Postpartum Doula and Lactation Consultant.
Marni Greenberg, Psy.D. (PSY23970) is a Clinical Psychologist who has a private practice in Old Town. She specializes in pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, parenting, relationships, and mindfulness. Dr. Greenberg is passionate about helping women feel empowered throughout the perinatal period to make choices that align with their values. My name is Rosemary Mason and I started my career in 1994 as a Certified Childbirth Educator, DONA Trained Birth Doula, Certified Postpartum Doula and Certified Lactation Counselor. I am on the Postpartum Health Alliance advisory board here in San Diego, and in 2012 I became certified as a Doula Specializing in Acupressure for Postpartum Care.
I love working with new families and over the past 20 years I have supported over 400 families in the San Diego Community. I really enjoy speaking to groups about the postpartum period and have many referrals in the community.
I am a San Diego native, have three grown children, one retired husband, one grandchild, three grand-dogs and two grand-cats.
