What: Start your baby communicating in just 6-12 weeks! Families learn to use dozens of simple ASL signs, lowering frustration, and enhancing bonding, speech, and literacy. Weekly parent lesson, music, stories, puppets, parachute & bubbles, all with ASL signs.

Offered as 3 eight week sessions— Level 1, Level 2A, & Level 2B.
Babies starting class age 6-9 months will begin producing signs, on average, within 6-12 weeks, and can go on to learn dozens more before transitioning fully to speech.
Research shows that hearing babies who sign, on average, have 50 more spoken words by age 2 and are verbally 11 months ahead of non-signing peers by age 3.
Ideal start age for Level 1 is 6- 9 months

Space is limited to 12 people max and face masks and gloves are provided. 

We've all heard the horror stories of children choking to death because their caregiver doesn’t know how to save them. Simple lifesaving techniques are easy to learn and our instructor, paramedic dad Nathan Kohen, makes the class fun! This thorough training follows the 2015 Updated Guidelines for CPR ECC to focus solely on emergency care of an infant. Topics and skills covered include:

  • NEW: First Aid skills for checking an unconscious infant/child for injuries

  • Infant and child CPR up to age 12

  • Infant and child choking relief (conscious and unconscious)

  • NEW: Choking relief for adults, pregnancy, and self-relief too.

NOTE: This is an adult  only class. In order to ensure that everyone learns these very important skills without distraction, we ask that you leave babies and children with another caregiver. Practice is done on manikins.

Each class will cover a different topic in yoga and massage that will help in the early stages of postpartum including tummy-time yoga & massage, yoga poses for stretching while breast/ bottle feeding, movements to help colic, pelvic floor rehab/ strengthening, and overcoming the super-mom myth through an empowering yoga flow.
